Finial Reflection For World Literature 2020-2021

This semester was unlike any other because it was online. Is this what bein homeschooled is like? Anyways, this semester year was good. I saw some new names, some familiar ones, and a kind English teacher. Here are some recaps of this school semester.        T he  differences  between this course and any other course  are  doing a blog. I’ve never  done one so doing one now is new to me.   Looking back at what we’ve done as a cla ss and how it’s different form my other class is  surprising . This is   the  only  class that  I   talk  in .  My other classes not really because everyone is quite the whole time.  T he meaningful things in class are  discussion, when answering questions, and reading Les Mis é rables.        What I learned in this course was to open up my mind to new things. For example, I didn't think I would be doing a blog or journals. I honestly enjoy doing the journals because it's like I get to express myself. Feel free. Also learned how to take pictures

Les Misérables 2 Ch 7

Chapter VII      In this chapter we get to know a bit more of Jean. We know he went to prison for literally stealing breed for the kids of his sister. He got sent 5 years for it. 5 years. Then when he tried to escape, he got sent for 19 years. This man had it rough. He was only trying to survive. One thing to keep in mind is that during that time we was in prison, he got very strong. He became a strong yet as this chapter says, a dangerous man. However, inside he is likely very sad.

Les Misérables 2 Ch 6

Chapter VI      Now we know the backstory of  Jean Valjean. Its very sad. Like the man lost is wife, children, and parents. He only had his sister till he got married. He then lost them too. Expect the smallest he didn't lose but probably got abused. He literally got sent to prison for 5 years just for stealing bread. Bread. That's just messed up. That's probably why he has a rude attitude.

Les Misérables 2 Ch 5

Chapter V      So this is quite a chapter. Before Jean rest, he asks the Bishop but sounds kind of threatening, why did he let him stay. What if he was an assassin? The Bishop responded that it was in the hands of God.

Les Misérables 2 Ch 4

Chapter IV      In this chapter, we kept reading were we left off. The Bishop gave the man food and a place to rest for the night. He said we could go to the country side, since the Bishop has friends there. To leave at morning because a night it is very cold.

Les Misérables & French Revolution

In the beginning, we know that it take times during the French Revolution. The French Revolution began in 1787 till 1799 due to lack of power, politics, and economics. Which then lead to the execution of King Louis XVI in January 1793. The same time the Bishop left his family and when he comes back, his family is gone. Except for his sister, she is still alive.

Journal #4

November 30            Ever since the election happened, I honestly hope things will get better and we can go back to our normals lives. December 1             The relationship that influence me is the one with myself. I want to grow it because I not that confident with myself and my self esteem. December 2           There is a hero in my life, my mom. She cam be my hero for time to time, but sometimes not really. There are times when I need a hero but just can’t call out for her. It’s hard for me but hey she’s still my hero.  December 3                 My sisters and I were watching a ballerina movie. My sister is pretty flexible compared to me and my other sister. That girl can do the cartwheel, stand oh her hands, and do the splits. At one point she told me to try the splits. That women is a hardcore teacher to this. It’s scary. All in all, I still can’t do the split. Sad.  December 4                 It would probably be the worst day ever. Like no, just no. Day is ruined. Goodbye.

Les Misérables 2 Ch3

Chapter III          In this chapter, we find out the one that knocked the Bishop door is the prisoner. Jean Valjean. He introduces himself to them, who he was and where he came from. Madame Magloir and Mademoiselle Baptistine are pretty much scared. I think they've heard of the man since he was all the town talked about for sure. Gossip. The Bishop let’s the man stay the night with them. He even tells Madame Mademoiselle to set another plate. Jean is in shock because this is first person to treat home kind to their home, The Bishop tells him that this is not his home but the lords. Whoever walks in to the lords home is welcomed. Respect.

Les Misérables 2 Ch 2

Chapter II           In this chapter, we come across the Bishop again. He is quit busy while his sister is preparing dinner. But where is the prisoner guy? All we know is Madame Magloire and Mademoiselle Baptistine sitting the table for dinner. At the very end of the chapter, there is a violent knock on the door. Who could it be?

Les Misérables 2 Ch 1

Chapter I In this chapter we are introduced to the main protagonist. He arrives to town looking for a place to stay and eat. The first place he asks if he can stay, he gets told to get out. He not welcomed to any hotel/inn. Even when he asked a peasant if he could stay in a small room just for one night. That he would even pay him but still got rejected. The were rumors of him around town because he was in prison for a long time. That’s probably why people pushed him away. Pretty good first chapter :3.

Les Misérables Ch 14

Chapter XIV           This is the last chapter and I am kind of confused. I understand parts of the story, but the story can get confusing. I'm surprised the Bishop wasn't the protagonist. He was very kind and humble. But at least we got to know him and his past. Hopefully nothing happens to him because mostly in the stories I've read, the ones with a backstory dies first. I hope not. He is a very humble and lovable man.

Les Misérables Ch 13

Chapter XIII           In this chapter, the bishop has shown again how kind he is towards everyone around him. How he so kind he wouldn't hurt a fly. We're also told some of the Bishops hobbies like meditation and his little garden.

Les Misérables Ch 12

Chapter XII  This chapter is quit interesting. The bishop and prince are treated with the wealthiest things. However, I think the bishops doesn't take  much interest in them. Monsieur Bienvenu is poor but humble. Like wow, I think the man should deserve something. Oh well, this is just my thought.
